Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes like Windows Updates and monitor your PC etc, but you can get it back

Click Start > Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This will opens the group policy editor.
Then go to : 
----> Local Computer Policy
----> Computer Configration
----> Administrative Templates
----> Network
----> QOS Packet Scheduler
----> Limit Reservable Bandwidth

Double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the "Explain" tab i.e. "By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20% of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to over ride the default".
So the trick is to ENABLE reserveable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%. It works on WINDOWS 2000 as well.

I found this video on www.youtube.com, that how do you know that your facebook friends makes you unfriend. Your facebook account did not provide any notification regarding this, but it is quite simple to know this.

First of all log on to your facebook account with twenty feet and it make list of all facebook profiles that are listed as your facebook friends. They collect that data everday and send alert if they finds one or more connection that have gone missing from your facebook friends list.

How to increase battery life of mobile phone.

Well I think lot of people face the problem of low battery. Here are the few tips, you can follow it and increase the battery life of your mobile.

                                     
1. Reduce your phone brightness
This is the easiest way to increase your battery life.


2. Turn off 3G and use GSM.
If you don't use video call than turn off 3G. Use of GSM consume less power than 3G.


3. Turn off bluetooth.
Bluetooth is also most power hungary application. When you don't use bluetooth than turn it off.


4. Disable the vibration mode and keep low the volume of ringing tone.


5. Disable screen saver.
All of us think that screen saver save the power of our phone baattery but it doesn't, if you put any animation or any picture as a screen saver, it act like that your mobile screen is running so it decrease your battery life. Therefore turn off your screen saver and just leave a blank screen.


6. Dont use moving wallpapers. It also reduce battery life.

How to hide all drives from PC

Step 1. Go to Start > Run

Step 2. Type regedit

Step 3. Now go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Step 4. Now in the right plane, create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive).

Step 5. Now modify its value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal)

Step 6. Now restart your Computer.

Step 7. So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be appear (all gone)

To enable display of drives, simply deleted this DWORD item that you created. Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again.

How to lock your folder without any software.

You can lock your folder without using any software. It works in Windows XP, Vista, and Windows7.

Follow these steps :
Step 1. Make a folder in C drive and rename is as "123" ( you can use any name ).

Step 2. Open "command prompt"
    
         Start > All Programmes > Acessories > Command prompt

Step 3. Type "attrib +s +h C: \123" without quotes and press ENTER.

Step 4. Now you can see what happned to your folder. This command will make your folder invisible.

Step 5. To make visible again type "attrib -s -h C:\123".

How to disable your stolen mobile phone.

 

If you lost your mobile or it is stolen, you probably won't get your phone back, but if you follow the below method atleast you know that whoever stole you mobile he can't use it either sell it.

Whenever you buy a new mobile handset, check your mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone :

A 15 digit code will be appear on the screen. This number is unique to your mobile handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

In case if you lost your mobile or it is stolen, you can call your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block yout handset so even if the person who got your mobile try to change the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.
